In the West Bank, an Israeli settler shot and killed a 23-year-old Palestinian at the Huwwara checkpoint. A 22-year-old was taken to a hospital in Nablus for treatment of a gun wound sustained in the same incident. Eyewitnesses say that the settler blocked the road with his truck and shot at the 2 Palestinians. The settler claims that he was attacked by the 23-year-old. Separately, several Palestinian hikers were injured and 7 were arrested when Israeli forces attacked them while hiking a trail near ‘Ayn al-Hilwa in the West Bank. At night, hundreds of Israeli settlers and their military escort harassed residents of the West Bank village of Awarta. In Gaza, Israeli forces fired a missile at Palestinian teens for the 2d day. The missile hit Gaza City without causing injuries or damage. Israeli forces claimed that the teens were firing incendiary balloons. Separately, Israeli forces claimed that it had detonated several explosive devices thrown at the Gaza fence on 3/30. Israeli forces also conducted incursions for land levelling near al-Bureij refugee camp in Gaza. Meanwhile, off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces shot at Palestinian fishermen inside of the permitted fishing zone. No injuries were reported. Later, Israeli forces shot live ammunition at 3 Palestinians who allegedly attempted to cross into Israel from Gaza. All 3 were taken to a hospital in Israel. In Israel, a Palestinian prisoner in the Negev prison was assaulted and transferred to an unknown location after he allegedly threw hot water on a prison guard.
