In the West Bank, Israeli forces shot and wounded a Palestinian who “behaved suspiciously” near an Israeli military outpost near Za’atra near Bethlehem. He allegedly pulled a knife on the Israeli forces after they began pursuing him on foot. Elsewhere in the West Bank, 7 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in and around Hebron, Ramallah, and Hizma. PA president Mahmoud Abbas and foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki arrived in Egypt to meet the Egyptian president and Arab League officials. al-Maliki called on Arab countries to help the PA to cope with the financial crisis it is facing due to Israel withholding PA tax revenues.
