In the West Bank, Israeli forces violently dispersed protests against the U.S. administration’s peace plan in and around Tulkarm, Qalqilya, and ‘Azun; 2 Palestinians were injured by rubber-coated bullets and others suffered tear-gas related injuries. 3 Palestinians were arrested at checkpoints near Qalqilya and Bethlehem. In Gaza, Israeli tanks shelled 2 Hamas military outposts and 1 rocket was launched at Israel; no injuries were reported. (HA 2/8; PCHR 2/13)

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his government had started drawing up maps of land that Israel will annex in the West Bank in relation to the U.S. administration’s peace plan. (REU 2/8)
