Occupied Palestine/Israel: Shamir's office reports the intifada has cost the Israeli govemment roughly $1 billion this year in additional military expenses, loss of trade with the West Bank, and loss of tourism [WP 10/2]. Call issued by uprising leadership tells Palestinians that on strike days, they should go out after 5pm to the streets and start a rebellion. Military Action

Occupied Palestine/Israel: 17-year-old Palestinian is shot, killed by Israeli soldiers in Gaza's Nusseirat camp; 14 others are wounded. In Gaza's Bani Suheila village, 25-year-old Arab accused of collaboration is stabbed to death. On the West Bank, 3 Palestinians are reported shot, killed [LAT 10/2].
