In the West Bank, Israeli settlers destroyed electric poles in al-Zawiya. Israeli forces violently dispersed protests in Bayt Dajan against settler encroachment; 3 Palestinians were injured by rubber-coated bullets, others suffered tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also shot and injured 3 Palestinian minors at a checkpoint near Jenin using live ammunition; all 3 were rushed to a hospital. Elsewhere, Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinians during the weekly anti-settlement protests in Kafr Qaddum, injuring 1 with a rubber-coated bullet; others suffered tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also assaulted 1 mother and her son before arresting the son in Hebron. In East Jerusalem, thousands of Muslim worshippers prayed at the Haram al-Sharif compound despite COVID-19 restrictions; 3 Palestinians were arrested. The mass prayer happened after a legal protest against French president Emmanuel Macron’s recent attacks on Islam. The foreign ministry of the Dominican Republic announced that the country is considering moving its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. (HA, REU 10/31)
