In the West Bank, Israeli settlers cut 15 olive trees west of Salfit. Off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen within 3 nautical miles west of Bayt Lahiya; no injuries were reported. In Gaza, Israeli forces made incursions and leveled land east of Dayr al-Balah. In Israel, Israeli police shot and killed 1 Palestinian-Israeli man suffering from a mental disability after being called by his mother to his family home in Haifa; the family criticized the Israeli police’s handling of the situation, saying that despite the man brandishing a knife, they could have subdued him with non-lethal means. The PA foreign ministry summoned the representatives from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and the UK because of the countries’ change of vote on Palestinian issues at the UN Human Rights Council. Bulgaria voted against Palestine and the UK and Czech Republic abstained. (WAFA 3/29)
