In the West Bank, Israeli settlers raided Palestinian farmlands south of Hebron, leading to a confrontation between Israeli activists assisting Palestinians in protecting their lands and Israeli forces. 1 Israeli activist was headbutted by an Israeli soldier. Israeli settlers also threw stones at Palestinian vehicles near the Za‘atra checkpoint. Elsewhere, Israeli settlers blocked the Nablus-Ramallah road near Sinjil. Israeli settlers also unleashed dogs on Palestinians in Wadadi, causing injuries to 2 Palestinians. Israeli forces shot and killed 1 Palestinian man during a late-night raid in ‘Azzun. Israeli forces later violently dispersed the funeral procession for the Palestinian killed earlier in the day, injuring 2 with live ammunition. Israeli forces also took measurements for punitive home demolitions in Qarawat Bani Hassan of the family homes of 2 Palestinians accused of killing 1 Israeli settlement guard at the Ariel settlement on 4/29. 3 Palestinians were arrested in Qarawat Bani Hassan and 10 were arrested at the Qalqilya checkpoint after returning to the West Bank from East Jerusalem. In Israel, Israeli police arrested the imam at the Great Mosque in Lydda, Sheikh Yusuf Albaz, claiming he had incited violence. Israel prevented the director of Addameer Sahar Francis from boarding a plane at the Ben-Gurion Airport. Director Francis, who is an Israeli citizen, was travelling to participate in the World Social Forum in Mexico via the U.S. Addameer was declared a terrorist organization by Israel in 10/2021.
