In the West Bank, Israeli settlers uprooted some 50 olive tree saplings in Sinjil. During a raid in Nablus, Israeli forces shot and injured 2 Palestinians with live ammunition, including 1 medic, as well as 1 with a baton round, 6 with shrapnel, and 1 with a tear gas canister; 25 others suffered tear-gas related injuries. 1 was arrested. Israeli forces also violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in Kafr Qaddum, injuring 7 with baton rounds and others with tear gas. Elsewhere, Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in ‘Usarin, injuring 1 with a baton round and others with tear gas. The UN General Assembly voted to request an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on the Israeli occupation the West Bank and whether it considers the occupation temporary or permanent. 87 countries voted in favor, with 23 against and 53 abstentions.
