In the West Bank, Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinians during a raid in Rumana, causing tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also shot, injured, and arrested 1 Palestinian man riding a motorcycle near Qalqilya. Elsewhere, Israeli forces issued stop-work orders for 8 structures in Deir Balut. The U.S. summoned the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Michael Herzog to the State Department to protest the 3/20 Israeli repeal of parts of the 2005 Disengagement Law. In response Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu later said that the Knesset had removed legislation that was “discriminatory and humiliating” against Jews and that his government does not intend to build new settlements in the area.
