Israeli forces shot and killed 1 Palestinian man near Beit Umar, saying he had rammed and injured 3 Israeli soldiers, including 1 who was said to be in critical condition. In East Jerusalem, Israeli police shot and killed 1 Palestinian citizen of Israel near the Haram al-Sharif compound. Contrary to eyewitness accounts, the police said the man tried to steal a gun from an officer when he was shot but was unable to produce any video evidence despite the area being heavily surveilled. In Tel Aviv, hundreds of thousands of Israelis demonstrated against the government for the thirteenth Saturday in a row despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to pause the judicial overhaul legislation.
