In the West Bank, Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in Tura, causing tear-gas related injuries. In East Jerusalem, Israeli settlers toured the Haram al-Sharif compound. Israeli police shot and injured 1 Palestinian man in the Old City. Israeli police also violently removed Palestinian worshipers from the Haram al-Sharif, including inside al-Aqsa Mosque, injuring 6. In Gaza, 16 rockets were fired at Israel, causing damage to 1 factory in Sderot. Israeli forces conducted airstrikes causing damage in Nuseirat refugee camp and Gaza City and fired artillery shells at Dayr al-Balah, Khan Yunis, and Beit Lahiya. Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen west of al-Sudaniyya; no injuries were reported. The PA and Jordan requested that the UN Security Council convene to discuss Israel’s attacks at the Haram al-Sharif compound. Jordanians also gathered near the Israeli embassy in Amman demanding that the Israeli ambassador be expelled. The Arab League held an emergency session to discuss the Israeli raids.
