In the West Bank, Israeli settlers with a military escort attack Palestinians harvesting olives in Lubban al-Gharbi, injuring 20 people. Israeli settlers also steal an olive harvest in Khalayel al-Loz. Elsewhere, Israeli settlers set fire to an agricultural structure and steal a donkey in Burqa, a Palestinian man from the family owning the donkey is shot in the leg by a settler when he tries to retrieve it. Israeli forces shoot and kill a Palestinian man in al-Far’a refugee camp. Israeli forces also arrest 25 Palestinians during late-night raids. In Gaza, Israeli forces bomb Dayr al-Balah, Rafah, Beit Hanun, Beit Lahiya, Gaza City, Jabalia refugee camp, al-Bureij refugee camp, and Nuseirat refugee camp, killing at least 23 people. Israel issues evacuation orders for areas of Nuseirat refugee camp and al-Bureij refugee camp. In Lebanon, Israeli forces bomb the Dahieh, Harat Hreik, and Bourj el-Barajneh neighborhoods in Beirut, Choueifat, Baalbek, Zawtar, Nabatieh, Majdal Silm, Jiyeh, Bint Jbeil, and Beddawi refugee camp, killing at least 25 people, including Hamas official Saeed Atallah Ali and 3 of his family members in Beddawi. Israel issue evacuation orders for parts of Dahieh and Bourj el-Barajneh. Hezbollah forces launch drones at the Samson base and rockets at Kiryat Shmona. More than 41,825 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 16,456 children and 11,088 women, and around 96,910 have been injured since 10/7/2023. At least 10,000 people are missing in rubble. 731 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7/2023, including 153 children. More than 6,315 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. In addition, 346 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 2,298 injured in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 10/27/2023. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. UNOCHA says 43 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank in September while 345 were injured. 236 structures were destroyed and 802 Palestinians displaced. UNOCHA also counted 95 instances of settler violence. (UNOCHA 10/5)

The Committee to Protect Journalists says that at least 126 journalists have been killed by Israel in the past year, including at least 15 in cases where the journalists were deliberately targeted. French president Emmanuel Macron calls on all countries to stop sending weapons to Israel that are used in Gaza. Macron also says the International Organisation of La Francophonie, representing 88 countries, unanimously calls for “an immediate and lasting ceasefire” in Lebanon. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel is fighting “barbarism led by Iran,” calling on all “civilized countries” to stand by Israel and condemning “President Macron and other Western leaders [who] are now calling for arms embargoes against Israel. Shame on them.” Macron responds by saying “France is Israel’s unfailing friend. Mr Netanyahu’s words are excessive and irrelevant to the friendship between France and Israel.
