In the West Bank, Israeli settlers throw stones at Palestinian vehicles traveling near al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya. Israeli forces shoot and injure a Palestinian child during a raid in Faqqua. Israeli forces also violently disperse Palestinians with tear gas during a raid in Salem. Elsewhere, Israeli forces punitively demolish the family home of a Palestinian man killed by Israeli forces on 9/1. Israeli forces also cause vast destruction to infrastructure and private property during raids in Tubas and al-Fara’a refugee camp. Meanwhile, Israeli forces seize solar panels and a trailer during a raid in Humsa at-Tahta. Israeli forces also arrest 15 Palestinians during late-night raids in and around Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus, Qalqilya, Ramallah, and Tubas. In Gaza, Israeli forces bomb Jabalia refugee camp, Gaza City, Khan Yunis, and Beit Lahiya, killing at least 33 people, including at least 12 at-Tabin School in Gaza City. More than 44,282 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 17,500 children and 11,487 women, and around 104,880 have been injured since 10/7/2023. At least 10,000 people are missing in rubble. 797 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7/2023, including 169 children. More than 6,500 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. In addition, 378 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 2,456 injured in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 10/27/2023. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. 87% of all housing units in Gaza have been destroyed or severely damaged since 10/7/2023. The Gaza Media Office says 190 journalists have been killed by Israel in Gaza since 10/7/2023. 17 wounded Palestinians and 17 companions are evacuated from Gaza to Jordan for treatment. A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah takes effect at 4 a.m. Hezbollah declares victory over Israel. Lebanese prime minister Najib Mikati calls the Israeli attacks on the country the “most cruel phase” in Lebanese history, calls for unity, and thanks UNIFIL and countries in the region for helping Lebanon. Parliament speaker Nabih Berri calls on people to return to their homes in southern Lebanon and for the election of a new president as soon as possible. Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri says Hamas supports the ceasefire and hopes a ceasefire can be reached for Gaza soon. The PLO and PA also welcome the ceasefire. Israeli forces have killed 3,961 people, including 736 women and 248 children, and wounded 16,520 others in Lebanon since 10/8/2023. 80 Israeli soldiers and 47 civilians have been killed. More than 100,000 Lebanese homes have been damaged in 13,976 Israeli airstrikes. Hezbollah forces launched 2,454 rockets and drones at Israel. 1.2 million Lebanese people have been displaced. PA president Mahmoud Abbas names, in a presidential decree, Palestinian National Council chairperson Rawhi Fattouh as his temporary replacement if the presidency becomes vacant. The decree stipulates that the interim period would be 90 days in which elections must be held. U.S. national security advisor Jake Sullivan says Israel has agreed to “take another run at getting a good ceasefire” in Gaza, saying the U.S. is in contact with Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey on the issue. Sullivan also says the U.S. has been in indirect contact with Hamas in recent weeks. Israel informs the ICC that it will appeal the arrest warrants issued for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. France says that it now believes that Netanyahu has immunity because Israel is not a party to the Rome Statute. Previously France said it would adhere to the court’s ruling. The new French stance is reportedly part of the ceasefire deal made for Lebanon. UK foreign secretary David Lammy says he will still talk to, and meet with, Netanyahu despite the arrest warrants. EU high commissioner for foreign affairs Josep Borrell says EU countries “cannot undermine the ICC.
