An Israeli soldier is sentenced to 7 months in prison for abusing Palestinians at the Sde Teiman detention camp. The conviction is the first since 10/7/2023 despite widespread abuse of Palestinians held in detention camps and prisons, leading to more than 50 deaths. (AJ, HA, HA, WAFA 2/6)
PA prime minister Mohammad Mustafa meets with Arab League secretary-general Ahmed Aboul Gheit in Cairo, discussing humanitarian efforts for Gaza. President Trump signs an executive order authorizing sanctions on people working on ICC investigations involving U.S. citizens and U.S. allies. +972 Magazine reports, based on interviews with 15 members of the Israeli military intelligence and Shin Bet, that Israel knowingly indiscriminately targeted tunnels under Gaza with carbon monoxide emitted from bunker buster bombs, intended to kill people in the tunnels. At least 3 Israeli captives have been killed by asphyxiation from the gas emitted by the bombs. 2 experts tell +972 Magazine that the deliberate use of the toxic gas is illegal under international law and is considered a use of chemical weapons.
