In the West Bank, Israeli settlers throw stones at Palestinian cars travelling near Sinjil. Israeli settlers also uproot olive tree saplings and destroy a fence in Umm al-Khair. Elsewhere, Israeli settlers raid Beita before being repelled by Palestinians taking part in the weekly anti-settlement march in the town. Israeli settlers also fence off and cultivate a plot of land in Wadi al-Faw. Israeli forces shoot and kill a Palestinian child during a raid in Salem. Israeli forces also shoot and injure a Palestinian man during a raid in Sinjil. Elsewhere, Israeli forces arrest a Palestinian man in Qalqilya who had been released during the prisoner exchange as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal. Israeli forces also continue raids in Jenin and Jenin refugee camp for the 95th day in a row, assaulting 2 Palestinians in nearby Ya’bad. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue raids in Tulkarm, Tulkarm refugee camp, and Nur Shams refugee camp for the 89th day in a row, raiding shops. In East Jerusalem, Israeli authorities force a Palestinian family to demolish their own home in Kafr ‘Aqab, displacing 5 people. In Gaza, Israeli forces bomb Khan Yunis, al-Mawasi, Rafah, Dayr al-Balah, Nuseirat refugee camp, al-Bureij refugee camp, Beit Hanun, and Shati’ refugee camp, killing at least 45 Palestinians. Israeli forces also order the evacuation of al-Turukman, al-Jadida, and Zeitoun neighborhoods of Gaza City. 2 Israeli soldiers are killed in Gaza City. In Yemen, U.S. forces bomb the Hodeidah and Saada governorates, killing a woman in the Saada governorate. More than 51,416 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 17,881 children and 12,749 women, and around 117,416 have been injured since 10/7/2023. In addition, 14,222 Palestinians who have been missing are presumed dead. 953 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7/2023, including 192 children. More than 8,000 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. In addition, 411 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 2,584 injured in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 10/27/2023. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. 92% of all housing units in Gaza have been destroyed or severely damaged since 10/7/2023. The UN World Food Programme says its food stocks in Gaza are depleted. UNRWA says 3,000 trucks are ready to move into Gaza to deliver aid but continue to be prevented by the Israeli blockade. UNRWA commissioner-general Philippe Lazzarini says the situation in Gaza is a “manmade and politically motivated starvation.” The Gaza Media Office says 52 people have died of hunger over the past few weeks. The Palestinian Central Council issues a final communique from its 32nd session, saying its first priority is ending “the Israeli genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip.” Other priorities include ending settler colonialism in the West Bank and implementing the 2-state solution. (WAFA 4/25)

The Israeli civil rights group HaMoked files a petition with the High Court of Justice, demanding to know the location where Palestinian paramedic Assad Nasasra is being held. Nasasra was detained on 3/22 when Israeli forces killed 15 of his colleagues in Rafah. (AJ 4/25)

U.S. president Donald Trump tells reporters that he told Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week that the Palestinian people in Gaza “are suffering” and that “we are going to take care of them. Israeli Likud Party MK Moshe Saada says in an interview that Israel has a duty to starve Palestinians in Gaza, saying “I do intend to starve the Gazans, that is our duty. Our duty is to expel the Gazans. There are ten countries in the world that want them and are willing to take them in. That is our mission.” (HA 4/25; HA 4/27)

The New York Times reports that Israel is using an AI tool to get the approximate location of its targets. The Times reports that in one example of the tool being used Israel bombed the approximate location of Hamas commander Ibrahim Biari on 10/31/2023 after he received a phone call, killing more than 125 civilians. The Times also says Israel’s AI development is done in partnership between Unit 8200 and Israeli reserve soldiers who work at Google, Microsoft, and Meta. (NYT 4/25)
