The IDF conducts daytime patrols in 2 villages nr. Ramallah, 1 nr. Jericho, and 1 nr. Qalqilya; conducts late-night patrols in 2 villages nr. Jenin and 1 nr. Ramallah. Jewish settlers fr. Elazar settlement nr. Bethlehem uproot 150 grape saplings from nearby Palestinian land. Palestinians (sometimes accompanied by Israeli and international activists) hold weekly nonviolent demonstrations against the separation wall, land confiscations, and settlement expansion in Bil’in, Kafr Qaddum Nabi Salih, and Ni’lin; protests in Bil’in and Nabi Salih also call for solidarity with prisoners and national unity. IDF soldiers fire live ammunition (Nabi Salih only), rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades at the protesters; 10 Palestinian (including 3 journalists) are hit by tear gas canisters in Kafr Qaddum. In addition, 10s of Palestinians hold a nonviolent march in Abud village nr. Ramallah in solidarity with the hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners; IDF troops manning the checkpoint at the entrance to the village fire live ammunition, rubbercoated steel bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades at the demonstrators, seriously injuring 2 Palestinians and arresting 1 Palestinian.
