Israeli naval vessels fire on Palestinian fishing boats off the n. Gaza shore, forcing them to return to shore. In the West Bank, the IDF makes an early morning incursion into ‘Arraba village nr. Jenin, raiding a home and detaining local Islamic Jihad spokesman Khader Adnan, placing him under administrative detention; Adnan immediately declares a hunger strike to protest his detention without charge.
