Israeli naval vessels surround and fire on 2 Palestinian fishing boats off the n. Gaza coast, wounding 2 fishermen, detaining 8, and confiscating the boats; the fishermen are released to Gaza later in the day. Late at night, IDF troops on the n. Gaza border fire 2 artillery shells at an open area nr. the border, causing no reported damage or injuries. In the West Bank, the IDF patrols in 5 villages nr. Qalqilya, 3 nr.
