In Gaza City, 1,000s of Palestinians turn out for the funerals of the 3 senior Hamas mbrs. killed on 4/1. The Popular Resistance Comms. (PRCs) announce they will no longer observe the cease-fire toward Israel. In the West Bank, the IDF patrols in al-Bireh and in 4 villages nr. Salfit (raiding 1 home and ordering a resident to appear for questioning), 2 nr. Tulkarm (randomly stopping 1 Palestinian on the street and detaining him briefly for questioning), 1 nr. Qalqilya.
