The Israeli cabinet approves the release of some 250 Palestinian prisoners as a gesture to Abbas, marking the ‘Id al-Adha holiday; no specific release date is set. IDF troops bulldoze land in s. Gaza to clear lines of sight along the border e. of Abasan. Gaza’s power plant shuts down after 4 days of operation for lack of fuel (see 11/26).
