In the West Bank, Israeli forces demolish 11 residential structures in the bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar nr. Jerusalem, displacing 87 people. Israeli authorities order the reopening of a road nr. Bethlehem that had been closed 2 weeks ago for security reasons, according to the IDF. IDF troops arrest 23 Palestinians, issue 1 arrest summons, assault 2 Palestinians, and confiscate personal property during late-night raids nr. Salfit, Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Qalqilya, and Jenin, and patrol nr. Qalqilya, Salfit, and Hebron during the day. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrest 8 Palestinians during raids in the Old City and Issawiyya. Along Gaza’s border, IDF troops open fire on Palestinian agricultural fields nr. PLO Exec. Comm. mbr. Wasel Abu Yousef announces plans for Russia to host a Hamas-Fatah reconciliation after the 1/15 peace conference in Paris. “The Palestinian leadership wants to demonstrate that it is working on both the peace process through the Paris conference and reconciliation by way of the Moscow meeting,” he adds.
