Late in the evening, the IDF sends troops into areas of Gaza n. of Bayt Lahiya, exchanging fire with Palestinians, killing 1 Hamas mbr., 1 DFLP mbr., wounding a bystander. The IDF also demolishes a Palestinian home in East Jerusalem. (PCHR 8/2; OCHA 8/8)
