UNIFIL adviser Timur Goksel says the situation in s. Lebanon is remarkably calm following the IDF pullout and says that the real credit for this goes to Hizballah, which "has been acting very responsibly." UN special envoy Terje Larsen arrives in Beirut on the 1st leg of a 1-wk. shuttle mission to coordinate the UN's next steps with Israeli, Lebanese, Syrian officials.
