U.S. Secy. of State Albright arrives in Israel to meet with Barak and Arafat, assess the possibility for a 3-way summit. Israel strongly supports the idea, but the PA says the sides need more time to prepare and Israel must first fulfill its interim obligations. The Knesset legal counsel orders an inquiry against MK Bishara for incitement to violence, support of a terrorist group for hosting a rally in Umm al-Faham celebrating the Israeli withdrawal fr. Lebanon as a "victory for Hizballah." (WT 6/28) (see 6/5)
