The IDF finds, accidentally triggers a bomb outside the King David Hotel in Jerusalem just before Israeli PM Ariel Sharon is to meet there with a European Union (EU) delegation; no injuries are reported. The IDF also moves troops 200 yds. into PA-controlled territory nr. Bayt Lahia, kills 2 armed Palestinians it claims were heading toward a nearby Dugit settlement; the PA says the men were mbrs. of the Palestinian naval police on patrol. 2 other Palestinians die of injuries received earlier.
