Burns holds another round of talks with Arafat and Sharon, who agree to resume security talks on 5/29. Arafat reportedly proposes implementing the Mitchell Comm. recommendations over the shortest time possible; his timetable includes forming an international monitoring comm., redeploying IDF troops to their 9/28/00 positions, halting settlement activity, implementing all outstanding Oslo provisions (e.g., 3d further redeployment, prisoner release).
