In Washington, Bush, Peres discuss the Jordanian-Egyptian initiative. This evening, the 2 leaders address the American Jewish Comm., where Bush says the U.S. and Israel "see eye to eye on how to handle the peace process," that the U.S. will be "steadfast in supporting Israel against terrorism." Lebanon sends a letter to UN Secy.-Gen.
