Israeli authorities deny South African education minister Blade Nzimande an entry visa for his planned 6-day visit to Palestinian universities. Nzimande says that the denial comes in response to recent positions taken by the South African govt. (MNA 4/23; HA 4/24)
At an Israeli Independence Day event in Washington, U.S. VP Joseph R. Biden announces that 2 of the 14 F-35 fighter jets that the Defense Dept. sold to Israel in mid-2/2015 (announced 2/22) will be delivered in 2016. The rest of the jets will be delivered by 2021. (HA, REU 4/24)
