Occupied Palestine/Israel: Unified National Command of the Uprising leaflet calls for week of protests during visit of Sec. of State Shultz [WP 2/21]. General strike is observed in Nablus [FJ 2/21]. In 'Arrabah, police arrest 3 Palestinians for allegedly wearing medallions bearing map of Palestine [FJ 2/28].

Military Action

Occupied Palestine/Israel: In Ramallah, Palestinian from Kafr Ni'mah is shot, killed by Israeli soldiers following demonstration; Israeli officials say soldier's gun fired accidentally; at least 1 Palestinian is wounded [FJ 2/28]. Death sparks clash at Ramallah Hospital, where patients are evacuated when troops fire tear gas, rubber bullets into main building. Palestinian child is killed by army gunfire in Tulkarm refugee camp. At least 3 are shot, wounded in clash with Israeli troops in village of Bani Na'im, near Hebron; during clash army helicopter drops tear gas grenades on demonstrators [WP, FJ 2/21]. At least 8 are wounded when soldiers open fire on protesters stoning soldiers, blocking roads in Tubas [FJ 2/28]. Army imposes curfews in Nur Shams camp; curfew in Qalqiliyyah continues [FJ 2/21].
