The IDF sends a large force into Bethlehem and Dahaysha r.c., arrests 1 Palestinian, withdraws to outskirts of both areas by nightfall; conducts arrest raids in al-Bireh, al-Fara' r.c., Tamun, Tulkarm (shelling parts of the city); continues to conduct house-to-house searches in Balata r.c., Nablus; shells a power station in Bayt Hanun, cutting electricity to parts of Bayt Hanun, Bayt Lahia, Jabaliya. The IDF says 100s of Palestinians have been detained in Balata r.c., 50 of them arrested. An IDF sniper fatally shoots 1 Palestinian in Nablus; a Palestinian dies of injuries received on 5/6.
