U.S. national security advisor Jake Sullivan met with PA president Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. The PA said that President Abbas urged the U.S. to reopen its consulate to Palestinians. PA civil affairs minister Hussein al-Sheikh later told Axios that Abbas urged the U.S. to take a more active role in reaching a 2-state solution and that the Palestinian leadership is disappointed that the Biden administration has not rolled back Trump policies. The Illinois Investment Policy Board, which oversees the state’s employee pension fund, voted to divest from Unilever, the parent company of Ben & Jerry’s.
