Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. At least 79,000 housing units have been destroyed and 370,000 have been damaged in Israeli airstrikes since 10/7/2023. The WHO says 3 patients remain at the European Hospital after it was evacuated on 7/1. Palestinian workers in Gaza start repairing electric wires that would connect a water desalination and sewage plant in Dayr al-Balah to the Israeli electricity grid after receiving Israeli authorization to do so. 12 Biden administration officials who have resigned over the administration’s Gaza policies release a joint statement, saying the policies have failed and are “devastating for Palestinians.” The 12 former officials say that the Biden administration is undeniably complicit in the killing of Palestinians in Gaza.
