Quarterly Updates for (1 Jan 2019 — 31 Mar 2019)

               After the Irish senate in December 2018 passed a bill banning the purchase of goods and services from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, the Irish lower house followed suit in January. The passing of the bill, which still needs to go through further review to become law, was sharply criticized by the office of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which released a statement calling the bill “indicative of hypocrisy and anti-Semitism.” If the bill becomes law, fines up to $285,000 or up to 5 years in prison will the punishment for the sale and import of products and raw material from Israeli settlements.
