More than 25,900 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 10,600 children and 7,200 women, and around 64,110 have been injured since 10/7. At least 7,000 people are missing in rubble, including 1,700 children. 365 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7, including 92 children. More than 4,354 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7, including Israeli soldiers. Israeli forces also razed paved roads in the camp and detonated explosives in a 2-story building demolishing it and damaging nearby homes. In response to U.S. requests for Israel to change its rules of engagement as a measure of accountability for the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh on 6/11, Israel’s prime minister Yair Lapid said “no one will dictate open fire regulations to us when we are fighting for our lives.” Prime Minister Lapid further said of the killing of Abu Akleh that he would “not allow them to put an IDF soldier on trial who defended himself against fire from terrorists, just to receive a round of applause from the world.” Several independent investigations have found that no gunfire was detected around the Israeli soldiers who killed Abu Akleh. The IDF announces that it recently demolished a tunnel leading from the Khan Yunis area of Gaza into southern Israel. The tunnel was reportedly 1 kilometer long, with the final 200 meters extending into Israel. According to the IDF, it was connected to a network of other tunnels. “It has different construction methods to what we've seen. IT phone and power lines,” an IDF spokesperson says. In a meeting with top settler leaders, Israeli PM Netanyahu says that Israel must honor its commitment to the Trump administration to limit settlement construction and not be “piggish.” He also boasts that he had convinced the Trump administration to ignore any distinction between the settlement blocs and isolated settlements. Interpol announces that its general assembly has approved Palestine’s petition for full membership, with 75 countries voting in favor, 24 against and 34 abstaining. “The State of Palestine considers this membership and the responsibilities that it entails as an integral part of its responsibility toward the Palestinian people and a moral commitment to the citizens of the world,” the PA says in a statement. The Israeli govt. and PA sign an agreement to allow Palestinian mobile service providers to offer 3G to their customers in the oPt. The IDF’s Coordinator of Govt. Activities in the Territories (COGAT) releases a statement explaining that the deal is meant to strengthen the Palestinian economy.
