In the West Bank, Israeli settlers set fire to 1 Palestinian-owned car and wrote racist graffiti in Beit Iksa. Israeli forces shot and injured 4 Palestinians during a raid in Jenin. Israeli forces also demolished 3 agricultural structures in al-Khader. Elsewhere, Israeli forces raided Khadouri Technical University in al-Arroub refugee camp, injuring 1 Palestinian with live ammunition and others with tear gas. Israeli forces also raided Hebron University, causing tear-gas related injuries. 21 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, Jenin, Qabatiya, Bethlehem, and Ramallah; 1 Palestinian was injured by live ammunition during the raid in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp. The International Atomic Energy Agency reports that Iran has abided by its obligations under the 7/14/2015 nuclear deal it made with the P5+1, and the U.S. and EU formally begin lifting sanctions on Iranian banking, money transfers, trade, insurance, shipping, and other industries (sanctions relating to human rights and terrorism will remain in place). Meanwhile, Iran releases 4 U.S. prisoners, including Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian. In exchange, the U.S. releases 7 Iranian-Americans imprisoned on sanctions-related charges, inter alia. The World Bank reports that the Palestinian economy is facing its worst crisis since 1994, noting that the recent growth rate of 7.7% between 2007 and 2011 is insufficient to run a state because it is overly contingent on donor aid. The report says that sustainable growth can only be met through increased trade and private sector growth, which are hampered by restrictions imposed by Israel.
