In the West Bank, Israeli forces issued a notification to the Deir Istiya municipality that Israel will seize 45 dunams (11.2 acres) of land. Israeli forces also issued stop work notices for 8 residential and commercial structures in Deir Balut. 6 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Arrabah, Ajjah, Bir al-Basha, Bani Na’im, and Beit Fajjar. In East Jerusalem, Israeli settlers toured the Haram al-Sharif compound. Off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen 6 nautical miles west off the shore; no injuries were reported. Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich of the Religious Zionist Party resigned his seat in the Knesset, allowing fellow Religious Zionist Party member Zvi Sukkot to take his place. Sukkot, who lives in the Yitzhar settlement, is one of the founders of the Evyatar settlement outpost and has been arrested for terrorist attacks on Palestinians and temporarily expelled from the West Bank for planning terrorist attacks against Palestinians.
