Unidentified Palestinians fire 5 mortars fr. Gaza toward Israel, 2 landing in Israel and 3 inside Gaza, causing no damage or injuries. In the West Bank, the IDF patrols without incident in 2 villages nr. Tulkarm in the morning; conducts latenight arrest raids, searches nr. Hebron, Salfit. Jewish settlers fr. Taffuh nr. Salfit attempt to steal a horse fr. a Palestinian harvesting olives but leave when other Palestinians arrive. The PA says that foreign journalists who visit the West Bank through Israeli media facilitators are “unwelcome”—a move seen as an attempt by the PA to control its media image abroad.
