U.S. Secy. of State Madeleine Albright discusses her Jewish roots, revealed to her only last yr., at a conference of Holocaust survivors sponsored by the State Dept., U.S. Holocaust Museum to discuss restoration of property, bank accounts stolen by the Nazis. Gizella Weizhaus, the 1st Holocaust survivor to sue the Swiss banks, is not allowed to attend because she "lacked the required credential." She has been the most vocal critic of compensation payments going to Jewish groups rather than survivors, their heirs. (NYT, WP 12/2)
