Syria announces end of military maneuvers, return of forces to normal situation and status, military tension between Syria and Israel eases; unidentified anti-aircraft fire at Israeli planes over Bekaa; Beirut and suburbs shelled for 5 hours as battles in Chouf continue.

Casualties:

9 persons injured in Chouf battles, cease-fire arranged by IDF.

Political Responses:

Palestinians/ Lebanese: Fateh dissidents take control of 6 PLO fuel and ammunition depots in Damascus, some shots fired, 2 guards slightly wounded.
