The Knesset votes (59–12) to grant citizenship to Palestinians married to Israelis only if the Palestinian men are over age 35 and the Palestinian women are over age 25. The decision replaces an emergency measure (in place since 3/03, set to expire on 7/31) banning all Palestinians fr. becoming Israeli citizens under family reunification, but writes into law limitations previously considered temporary.
