Iranian parliamentarians approve amendments to the bill introduced on 6/17 to increase oversight on implementation of any agreement made with the P5+1. The amendments shift oversight responsibilities, and the power to end the deal, from parliamentarians to the Supreme National Security Council, which is chaired by Pres. In Gaza, an UNRWA official confirms that the agency has shut down its last shelter for Palestinians displaced during OPE. The shelter will return to use as a school. PLO chief negotiator Erakat publishes a 56-page report on Palestinian-Israeli relations, titled Determining Palestinian-Israeli Relations: Changing, Not Merely Improving, the Situation, calling for a complete review of the current status. In response to PA pres. Abbas’s 6/16 announcement that he would dissolve the PA consensus govt., Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri says that “no one consulted with us about any change in the consensus govt. At a meeting of the Fatah Revolutionary Council in Ramallah, PA pres. Abbas says that he intends to dissolve the PA consensus govt. and form an entirely new cabinet within the next few days. The Israeli High Court of Justice rules to seal the East Jerusalem room of the man accused of shooting right-wing Jewish activist Yehuda Glick on 10/29/2014.
