The White House officially confirms that Pres. Trump plans to visit Israel and the oPt on 5/22–23 in the context of his efforts to restart Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations. The Saudi newspaper al-Hayat will report on 5/5 that the White House refused an Israeli request to delay the visit until 6/2017, which would coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 1967 war.
