The Israeli Knesset passes into law a bill increasing penalties for stone-throwing and related crimes. The main provisions passed a 1st reading on 10/12. The Knesset also passes the 1st reading of a bill that would lower the threshold for what constitutes incitement to violence or terror, allowing the govt. to prosecute more people for related crimes. Israeli DM Ya’alon says that Israel will stop returning the bodies of Palestinians killed in violent confrontations with the IDF if they are mourned at mass funerals, as on 10/31 in Hebron.
