In the West Bank, 1 Palestinian man was killed by Israeli forces using live ammunition during clashes as Palestinians commemorated the 15th anniversary of the death of Yasir Arafat in al-‘Arub refugee camp. A video showed that the man, unarmed, slowly approached the Israeli soldiers with 1 hand on a towel and the other in the air before being shot. UN special coordinator for Middle East peace Nickolay Mladenov called the video of the incident shocking, calling for a probe. During other commemoration events in al-Fawar refugee camp, 1 Palestinian was injured by Israeli forces using live ammunition; in Dura, 1 Palestinian was injured by live ammunition; in Bayt Umar, several Palestinians suffered tear-gas related injuries.
